How To Live Everyday With Gratitude

Keep in mind it doesn’t have to be anything crazy, and no one way is the best. It all comes down to your comfort levels and creativity. For those that want suggestions to help you get the ball rolling, below is a list of five ways that can get you moving.
These gifts don’t have to be anything crazy. They can be something small that reminds the person you were thinking good thoughts about them. I know I always love getting little surprises that brighten my day and make me happy to think about the person that gave them to me.

The Health Benefits With Being Thankful

As some of you know, for me, getting some physical exercise is a great way to reduce stress and boost your mood and feel happy again. I also like to elevate my attitude by focusing on the little things that make me happy. There are so many things to be thankful for in our lives, from loved ones to work friends and colleagues, your health, a beautiful day, even a silly comedy show or book. There is just so much to be thankful for if we only recognize it all.
In fact, giving thanks can have several health benefits, from improving your mental health and elevating your mood to physical improvements in your health that stem from heightened moods.
According to Harvard’s research on the concept of health and happiness, people who practiced gratefulness and thankfulness found that those who practiced these traits regularly were happier than those who did not.
When we focus our minds on how we feel about someone before we speak to them, our speech and non-verbal speech reflect our thoughts.
With everything we’ve gone through the past year, it can be hard to positively look forward to the year ahead. But being positive and seeing things optimistically is so crucial for your mental and physical health. The key is to find ways to elevate your mood and those you care for and come into contact with every day.
I want to share all the ways to show thankfulness and practice gratitude on a daily basis.

The 5 Best Ways To Practice Gratitude

  1. Daily Meditation: Having a daily routine that includes just sitting in silence, focusing on your breathing, and turning your attention on things you’re grateful for is an incredible way to improve your mood and mental health. It doesn’t have to be an extended period of time either. You can practice relaxation techniques in ten minutes a day to get the benefits of mindfulness. Mindfulness is the practice of being in a relaxed state of mind and present at the moment without any judgment.
  2. Write Thank-You Notes: Thank you notes for no particular reason is a great way to remind those we love that they are appreciated. While we regularly write thank you notes around holidays and gifts, a simple thank you note to a person you love will boost their day and yours in the process.
  3. Send Thank-You Gifts and Flowers: If thank you notes aren’t enough for you, consider sending flowers or other thank you gifts. A little surprise gift or flowers are a great way to show your gratitude toward someone. It brightens their day and can make yours as well.

Again, the only limit is your individual level of comfort and creativity, and these suggestions are in no-way the only forms of practicing gratefulness.

  1. Be Positive When You Speak: Thank someone mentally before you speak with them: This is a great little trick we can play on ourselves.

The person we are speaking with can infer by our tone, types of words we say, and how our body speaks to them about how we feel about them. Think good thoughts and make someone else’s day!
There are just so many ways!

  1. Have a Gratitude Journal: Get started with a journal of all the things you appreciate and the people you care about daily. Writing down what we are thinking helps us organize our thoughts, makes them more concrete in how we reflect on them, and reminds us of what we were thinking at any given time of our lives. By writing a gratitude journal, you can document all the positives in your life, who made it neat, and why you loved it.
