There is nothing like being enveloped in the warmth of your loved one. On Valentine’s Day, a simple thing to do is to take a quiet walk while holding each others’ hands and just being in the moment. Make a beeline for a park where you two stole a quick kiss under the tree, or to the moonlit beach when waves crashed at your feet. If you are busy workaholics, it can be even be a walk from your home to the workplace!

1. Start a Couple’s Bucket List
How about dishing up a little love by preparing a delicious breakfast for your beloved and serving it in bed? As they say, good food is the way to someone’s heart. You can make some waffles or pancakes and jazz them up with whipped cream and strawberries. You can even sprinkle some chocolate syrup. Break some eggs and cook a scrumptious cheese omelet with some toast. Most importantly, don’t forget the morning coffee! After it is done, place the food on the bed tray with some roses and a cute little love note.
If you are like me, you must start planning to do something special for your special someone well in advance. Perhaps, you are completely clueless as how to go about it. Chocolate and roses are so overdone, and this year, you want the day to be absolutely unique. How about I share a few of the best romantic and cute ideas of things to do on Valentine’s Day? You can thank me later!
2. Eat Breakfast in Bed
Perhaps your partner has to work late, so there will be no time for a fancy dinner or night on the town. Still, you want to send them a message that how much them mean to you and put your point across. Have you considered arranging rose petals on bed that spell out your message? Turn your bedroom into a romantic retreat by showering some red roses throughout the bed. Say ‘I love you’ or any other message you choose.
A must on your Valentine’s Bucket List is to spend a romantic night at a quaint Bed & Breakfast. B&Bs are a nice alternative to a hotel. Not only are they generally more cost effective, but you will also be cooked a delicious breakfast in the morning that is much better than the typical continental buffet.

3. Slow Dance to Your Song
Do you often feel that you are losing touch with each other? There is this gap that keeps on stretching when you try to talk and connect, with running a household and busy careers, there just seems like too many other things to do. Reconnect now! Give up all the chores, take the day off and spend a lazy afternoon (and night!) in bed this Valentine’s Day. Talk, cuddle, gossip, laugh and much more *wink wink*. You will notice the difference instantly.
4. Stay in a Suite
Sometimes we are so lost in living and making both ends meet that we forget to focus on our dreams and passions. We have plans to achieve our goals and they start out good, but then comes responsibilities and the ever-increasing workload. Then, some of our dreams naturally get tucked away and then forgotten. This Valentines Day reawaken your dreams and take a leap of faith. Buy a lottery ticket! I know it sounds crazy but who knows, you might be lucky enough to win. But, even if you are not the winner, sharing what you would do with the winnings makes for a great conversation.

Sometimes it will be ages since your girlfriend and you went out to have a decent dinner without looking at your clocks. Plan to have a night out having a lavish meal in a five-star restaurant without having to worry about any pending housework that needs to be done or work commitments. Relax, head out to your favorite fancy restaurant and indulge in gourmet food in a midst of tranquility.
Compile all the songs that have meaning to your relationship and put them on a cd. What song was playing on your first date? Before you had the title of boyfriend or girlfriend? What was your wedding song? Is there a band that brings back wonderful memories? You can make it a ritual to listen to the tunes on each Valentine’s Day.

To watch a glorious sundown across the horizon, you don’t need to be somewhere far off in a tropical isle. You can easily witness a stunning sunset in your very own town. All you need is a clear view. My husband and I often take a stroll to a field across our house, and when twilight strikes, we sit down on a bench, and quietly gaze at the sun disappearing below the horizon. It is simply serene.
